The Logan Sling Bag is a cross-body sling-style bag that can be made for men, women or children! Allowing you to shop or visit hands-free, with everything accessible quickly, while keeping it safe against your body.
The pattern was designed for quilting cotton, and can be made on a domestic sewing machine! Don’t hesitate to experiment with vinyl, canvas or cork to make this bag your very own!
There is a small zipper pocket at the top, designed to fit a standard cell phone, then another double-ended zipper pocket lower down, allowing you access from the top or bottom of the pocket. The gusset on the outside can unzip to double the amount of space in the interior, and then the main compartment of the bag is securely closed with a long main zipper. Inside is a mesh pocket separated into as many compartments as you need so that you can keep organized while on the go.
Details:
Finished size is 24″ tall, 7″ wide at the widest point and 3″ deep with the gusset expanded.
Pattern testers consider this pattern ideal for intermediate bag makers.
During the testing process, Mae of Isabella Sparsh was kind enough to make a video for you, sew along with her here: YouTube
This is considered “advanced beginner to intermediate”: easily achievable for those with previous sewing experience, but rated intermediate for new sewers. The pattern has a large pullout sheet with all of the full size shaped pattern pieces, and then there are measurements to cut the rectangular pieces using a rotary cutter, ruler, and mat for accuracy.
