Sunshower – Water Repellant Polyester Twill (450 Denier) Phenom

Our Water Repellant 450 Denier Polyester 2/2 Twill in 6 soft colours.  Featuring a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) finish on the front, and a polyurethane back coating. 

This beautiful fabric has a slight lustre finish and a diagonal ribbed texture, that creates an elegant finish that will suit handbag linings beautifully. The palette of soft colours in this collection are chosen to compliment our range of faux leathers, and will look stunning with natural leather and canvas as well.  Suitable for an outer fabric too! Make trench coats, packs, duffels, or beautiful interior bag linings. 

Which is the front? The front has a water repellant finish and is brighter in colour and slightly more lustrous, however the back has a polyurethane finish so it looks more dull. You can do the water test and the side the beads up water more is the front, but the easiest way is to look at the twill direction. With the selvedge edges on your left and right, and the cut edges at the top and bottom, the angle of the twill should be going from bottom left to upper right. It’s possible to use the back side for the exterior of a bag if you like the look of it, or want it to be more water repellant.

• Comes folded and bagged.
• 59 – 60″ (152 cm) wide
• Mildew, tear, and water resistant
• Durable Water Repellant finish (DWR), although not UV protected.
• Polyurethane back coating for strength & durability
• Cold water wash, hang to dry. 
• Iron topside only on synthetic setting, using a pressing cloth and then increase temps as needed. It can handle higher heat for sure, if you make sure you use that pressing cloth (a fat quarter of cotton will do).
• Please note, this fabric does slightly mark if you scratch it! A very small variance of flaws can be expected, but we will do everything we can to make sure we pull out flawed material if possible. 
• Machine Needle: The size will depend on your thread weight and machine, but generally a Microtex 80/12 or 90/14 will work well.
• No interfacing recommended or required.
